The long-dormant gaming division of the general electric company Umihara Laboratories is looking to reopen its doors and join the battle against CyberConnect Corporation on their current hegemonic hold over the online game market.

Umihara, who once held their own monopoly on the market in the early 2000s, is reportedly designing a new online game to compete with the mega-popular The World. The games division was suddenly shuttered following the First Network Crisis, as only the CyberConnect Corporation, officially a sister company of ALTIMIT, was able to develop natively for ALTIMIT OS. It was not until ALTIMIT released devkits for other developers to try their hand at developing for the OS, but Umihara had long since moved on to successes in other consumer electronics markets.

The existence of Umihara's gaming division is but a blip in the overall history of the long-running Japanese electronics company, but memories of its brief library lives on in the memories of those who grew up in the 21st century.
